1. The readings of the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time, help strengthen our connection with God. To whom shall we go, you have the words of Eternal life
2. A Special Scholarship in memory of the late Mr Mervyn and Mrs Felicia Valladares, has been instituted by the family in remembrance of their parents. This scholarship is for the education of any girl child for academic excellence. This scholarship will be given on 8th September. Application forms are available with the Parish office. The last date for submission is 30th August.
3. The Women's Cell of the Rosary Parish Unit invites all parishioners to participate in the "Jericho March" on August 29th at 7:30 pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Dockyard. As we convene in a spirit of solidarity, we will engage in a prayerful procession to pay tribute to the victim of the heinous Kolkata rape and murder, while also imploring an end to the escalating scourge of violent crimes against women.
4. We begin the novenas for the nativity of our blessed mother on the 30th of August. The Novenas will start at 7 pm with a decade of the Rosary followed by the Novena Mass. On Sundays, the novena will be a part of our 8:30 Mass. As a part of our outreach for the Novenas, we are responding to the needs of 2 homes. They are St. Anthony Home and St. Joseph Home as well as some families within our Parish. Our inquiries with them have provided a very specific list of requirements. For the sake of organisation, each community is allotted one day however, they are free to make contributions for more than 1 day. Since these are Homes it’s advisable for a community/ zone to contribute towards the offering so as to maintain uniformity collectively. A token offering of the Community is to be offered at the offertory during the Mass. Your parish council members will approach you for your assistance. Please do extend your support to this endeavour. Please Look up the Notice Board for the days offering.
5. On Thursday 5th September is Teachers Day. We will we celebrate it in our Parish on the 7th of September. We invite teachers of our Parish to join us in prayer at the Eucharist at 7 a.m. Followed by breakfast. We request the Parish council members to keep us informed about the number of teachers attending as we would like to provide them with breakfast after the mass.
6. The Mass Dairy of October to December will open on 1st September 2024
7. The Legion of Mary of St. Ignatius Church, Jacob Circle is organizing the annual walking pilgrimage to Mount Mary Basilica, Bandra on Saturday 7th September 2023. It will begin at 10:30 pm. from St Ignatius Church and will end at the mount for 5:30 a.m. mass on Sunday 8th September. All are welcome to participate in this prayerful exercise
8. Dimensions Global Christian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Vimla Vikas Kendra, CCO of Rosary Church invites you for a seminar on "HOLISTIC SOLUTIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE NEIGHBOURHOOD" on 29th August 2024 from 5 to 5.45pm. Contact details are given on the notice board
