1. Today is the Feast of the Holy Family. It celebrates the family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. The readings for this feast highlight the importance of family and the virtues that sustain it. We pray especially for all families in our Parish.
2. Every year, the Archdiocese of Bombay, through the Centre of Social Action (CSA), initiates the Advent Campaign Against Hunger and Disease (CAHAD) to support its various activities. We have provided you with envelopes through your parish council members. Please do make your contribution and drop it in the boxes placed in the church.
3. On the 31st Dec, the morning mass is at 7 a.m. In the evening, we will thank the Lord for the year gone by with a Holy Hour at 10:00 p.m. This will be followed by the Solemn Mass in Honour of Mary Mother of God at 11 p.m. On the 1st Jan, masses are at 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Both Masses are in English.
4. Parish visitation, will resume in January. We will inform you of the dates and time of the visit.
5. Those who have received their first Holy Communion are invited to join the altar servers group. The meeting will be on Saturday, January 4th at 5 pm
6. We invite families to prepare cribs in your homes, this year for the Crib Contest we have chosen the theme: “Welcome the prince of Peace” Please submit your entries to the Parish office the last date is 30th December. We will inform you when the judges will come around to see your cribs.
7. The Parish council will meet on Thursday 9th January after the evening mass in the KG classroom. The minutes and agenda will be circulated shortly.
8. We will be having a get-together for all the PPC members, SCC animators and office bearers of the various associations in the Rosary school Hall on the 17th of January 2025. Those who would like to join request you to kindly register your name with your zonal PPC coordinator by the 5th Of January 2025. Registration fee is Rs 50/-.
9. We will be having our annual celebration Dhanyavaad for all our female domestic workers on the 11th of January 2025 at 11 am. This year we will be taking them out for a ferry boat ride from Ferry Wharf. We request you to please encourage your help working at your homes to attend this event. Kindly register their names with the parish office by the 5th of January 2025. The registration fee is Rs 20.
10. In our endeavour to support the missions, we will be organising breakfast stalls put up by the communities. Next weekend which is 4th/5th January Zone 6 will put the stall.
The Collection on Sunday 22nd December was Rs.47026/- and the Collection on Christmas was Rs 85861 /-We thank you for your generosity.
