Announcements: 6th April 2025, 5th Sunday of Lent.

1.         The 5th Sunday of Lent Year highlights God’s mercy and our journey in faith. The readings guide us to reflect on new beginnings and leaving behind our old ways.

2. Priests are available for confession every Saturday. On Sunday, the 6th, we will have confession for Sunday school and Confirmation students in the undercroft after the 8:30 am mass.

3. A reminder to please drop your contributions to the Lenten Alms. The proceeds of this collection has been earmarked for St. Pius X College, Goregaon—the Archdiocesan Seminary of Bombay. Cheques need to be made in the name of the Archdiocese of Bombay. Please include your pan card number and address for receipts. Please note this is a voluntary contribution.

4. During the season of Lent, we will have Stations of the Cross in Konkani on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross in English will be led by the communities on Friday after the evening mass—this week, Zone 6 is conducting the Stations of the Cross. On Sundays, there will be a Stations of the Cross for children after the 8:30 a.m. mass. Please join us in our Lenten devotion.

5. Those who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in March 2026   need to give their names to the Parish Office along with a copy of their Baptism certificates. Anyone who has completed the 10th Standard Board Examination or is above the age of 15 is eligible. The last date for submitting the names is 31st May 2025, and classes will commence from 8th June 2025.

6. Those who are eligible to receive the sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist in the year 2025-26 need to give their names and Baptism certificate to the Parish office. Those who have attended the 3rd std of Sunday school are eligible.

7.  Next Sunday 13th April is Palm Sunday the blessing of the Palms will be at the grotto at 8:20 am, followed by the procession to the Church culminating in the  Holy Eucharist.

8. The schedule for Holy Week is as follows Maundy Thursday: - 5pm in English and 7pm in English. The Adoration for the Altar or repose will be held in the Church after the Maundy Thursday Service

9.         Good Friday

7am	Way of the cross in Konkani
8:30am	Way of the cross in English
10:00am	3 hrs agony followed by the divine mercy
6:00pm	Good Friday Service
	followed by Passeo Service

10.  Holy Saturday: The devotion to  Our Lady of 7 Sorrows is conducted at 7 am

11. The Easter Vigil Service is at 10 pm. The Masses on Easter Morning are at 7 am in Konkani and 8:30 and 10 in English. There is no evening Mass

12.   The Parish Council will meet on Wednesday, 9th April, after the evening Mass. Requesting all PPC members to be present.

13.   The collection on Sunday, March 29th , was Rs. 38140/-  We thank you for your generosity.
