Today is the 3rd Sunday of Advent, the reading of today calls us to "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing and In all circumstances give thanks. May we do just this as we follow John's call to illuminate the Path for Christ.
The Women's Cell of the parish is organising a talk on 'Breasts Cancer and Women-Related Illnesses Awareness' by Dr.Indrani Salunkhe on the 17th of December from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the KG classroom..
Every year, the Archdiocese of Bombay, through the Centre of Social Action (CSA), initiates the Advent Campaign Against Hunger and Disease (CAHAD) to support its various activities. The theme for this year is 'Paving the Way for Holistic Community Growth'. Through the People-Led Development (PLD) project, CSA reaches out to different groups and communities. We will be providing you with envelopes through your parish council members. Please do make your contribution and drop it in the boxes placed in the church.
We are having a Christmas Carol night and Christmas bazaar on December 16th, after the 7 p.m. mass in the undercroft. Do come and add to The Christmas Joy.
The Christmas Program Schedule and Masses are as follows: Confessions on the 22nd and 23rd from 5 p.m. to 9 pm Sunday, 24th Dec - Morning masses in English at 07:00 am, 08:30 am and 10:00 am. There will be No Evening mass.
On 24th December Christmas Eve: 10:00 pm Carol Singing followed by Christmas Eve Service. Monday, 25th Dec -07:00am - Mass in Konkani 08:30 am - Mass in English. 10:00 am - Mass in English. There will be No Evening mass. Do join us for coffee and cake after the mass.
On the 28th of December the feast of the Holy Innocence, we will have the Sunday school Christmas Party, followed by the Eucharist at 7 pm. We will have the blessing of the Children at this mass.
Sunday, 31st Dec -Morning masses will be at 7:00 am, 8:30 am and 10:00 am. There will be no Evening mass. At 10:00 pm we will have a Holy Hour Followed by the New Year’s Eve Service
Monday, 1st Jan – mass at 7:00 am and 9 am in English and 7:00 pm - Mass in English.
We invite families to prepare cribs in your homes, this year for the Crib Contest we have chosen the theme: “Welcome the Prince of Peace” Please submit your entries to the Parish office. We will inform you when the judges will come around to see your cribs.
We would like to give a festive hamper on Christmas to our less fortunate Brothers and sisters. If any of our Parishioners wishes to sponsor a hamper contact one of the Parish Fathers. We need to make 50 such hampers and meals; the approximate cost is Rs 1500/- each. If you wish to recommend any person or family to receive a hamper, please inform your Parish Council member or one of the Parish Fathers.
We encourage our parishioners to regularly contribute to the Community Maintenance fund. These contributions enable us to assist students to pay fees, provide medical assistance and sustain the project of the poor to the needy.
The collection on Sunday, December 10th was Rs. 31600/- Box collection Rs 10880. We thank you for your generosity.
