prayer group
Monday evenings are synonymous with the Prayer Group meetings of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. A prayer group is the strength of a church and at Rosary Church, it is no different.
With a motto to grow spiritually and to help others grow spiritually through personal prayer and bible reading, the prayer group has been doing great work since its inception in 1992.
Intercessions are held every Monday in the church office from 6 pm and in Blessed Sacrament Chapel Matharpakady every Thursday from 4 pm. Healing service or adoration is held on the last Monday of every month. The prayer group also has a visiting cell. The members of this cell reach out to the sick, lonely and the aged.
It’s interesting to know how it all began back in 1992. Our parish was blessed to have an outreach conducted by Jeevan Jal Ministry led by Br. Trevor Louis. Soon after, then Parish Priest Fr. Ephiphany Castell gave permission to Dickson Mendes to start a Prayer Group in our Parish. What started with five members in the KG classroom, has become a thriving group.

Activities: The Rosary Prayer Group is an integral part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Every Monday, they gather for a series of spiritual activities, including intercessory prayers, praise and worship, and teachings. In addition to their regular meetings, they extend their ministry by visiting the sick. The group also marks their spiritual journey with an annual get-together on the 15th of August. Through their devotion and commitment, they contribute to the spiritual growth and well-being of the parish community.
